UNM-LA Partners With Innovation Academy
UNM-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) is partnering with The University of New Mexico’s Innovation Academy to offer “Create. Sell. Bank.” at UNM-LA this spring.
This online course will address issues related to designing and establishing online businesses. Students will be exposed to a variety of innovation processes to help assist them as they consider a product/business concept. The class will cover intellectual property basics, marketing processes, and how to create customer profiles, email lists, product landing pages, and marketing automation.
The class will help students plan and establish multiple streams of income for their product/service using e-commerce, and explore optimal practices for web marketing and use of social media.
UNIV 101: Create. Sell. Bank. will be taught by Bill Szaroletta, P.E. Szaroletta describes himself as “a positive change agent with specialties in innovative thinking, identifying needs, and collaborative design evidenced by 15 US patents, registration as a Professional Engineer, and successfully launching many products and services.”
This class is part of the Innovation Academy curriculum, an academic program at UNM with a nontraditional curriculum designed to inspire the beginning of the problem-solving ‘idea pipeline.’ For more information on this overall program go to innovationacademy.unm.edu.
