What does Student Government do for you, your campus, and your community?
Previous projects:
- Provides funding for the Library’s online catalog search tools
- Manages the Lobo Lounge—coming soon!
- Provides funding toward graduation, campus festivities, and student organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa
- Purchased equipment for biology, chemistry, and robotics labs
- Purchased furniture and computers for student study areas around campus
- Organized food drives to benefit UNM-LA students, regional homeless shelters, Self Help, Inc., and other nonprofit organizations that support our students within their communities
Eligibility to Join Student Government
- Be enrolled at the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA)
- Register for at least 6 credit hours of UNM courses in each semester of participation
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA and have no disciplinary good standing
