Upcoming Business Scholar Luncheon Series: How to Work with the Film Industry

Los Alamos- The New Mexico Small Business Development Center at Los Alamos (NMSBDC) and UNM-Los Alamos' PASE Title V Grant are thrilled to announce the upcoming Business Scholar Luncheon Series, titled "How to Work with the Film Industry." This free event aims to equip small businesses with the knowledge and resources to become qualified vendors for the thriving film industry in New Mexico. The luncheon will take place on August 23, from 11 am-1 pm at the SALA Event Center.
The film industry in New Mexico has experienced tremendous growth and offers great opportunities for businesses to tap into its lucrative market and provide goods and services to filmmakers. This luncheon series will serve as a valuable platform for entrepreneurs and small business owners to gain insights and strategic guidance on accessing this exciting sector.
Sandy Jones, Director of the New Mexico Small Business Development Center at Los Alamos, stated, "We are excited to offer the opportunity for our small businesses to learn how to become qualified vendors to the $855 million dollar film industry in New Mexico." Jones emphasized the potential for local businesses to establish fruitful partnerships within the film industry, and this luncheon aims to inform local businesses on how.
The event will also include information from the Department of Workforce Solutions, which will be available to answer any questions related to listing open jobs. As always, the luncheon will provide a platform for networking and introducing businesses to the group, fostering connections and collaborations among attendees.
