Software
Software is available for free to registered UNM students, faculty and staff. Titles
include MatLAB and ArcGIS.
Microsoft Office 365 is available free to registered UNM students. Log in to your
LoboMail account to download M365.
Faculty and Staff
IT Software Distribution negotiates discounted prices, by volume, contract or site license, for software products
used on UNM-owned shared and desktop computers for UNM departments only.
Visit the UNM App Store to obtain digital tools for productivity, collaboration, creating web pages, graphics,
videos, and more, available to download for free or at a discount.
Faculty and staff may purchase software for use on home computers often at special
discounted pricing from the UNM Bookstore.
Wireless Network
The UNM-LA wireless network has three different levels of access.
Lobo-Guest offers limited network and Web access and is intended for visitors to UNM-LA and others
without a UNM NetID and password.
Lobo-WiFi offers full network access and is available for all users with a valid UNM NetID and
password. Please note that use of this SSID requires a one-time client software “key”
for Windows and Macintosh users.
