SPY LogoFor more than 25 years, UNM-LA has been at the forefront of summer programming, and the tradition continues with our Summer Program for Youth (SPY). Tailored for students in grades three through ten, SPY not only introduces youth to the university environment but also immerses them in engaging STEM educational experiences. The program, rooted in hands-on, experiential and project-based learning, ensures that education is not just informative, but also enjoyable.

Course offerings include courses such as kitchen chemistry, pre-engineering, forensics and robotics as well as coding in Python and/or HTML for Minecraft, worm gear powered vehicle lab, explorations in space and earth science, and science discovery in LANL's Challenge Tomorrow Trailers. UNM-LA is planning unforgettable summer camps, where education meets excitement!
