Communications

No matter what your career path, effective communications skills — reading, writing, and speaking — are a necessity. Effective communication skills can help you get a job, get a promotion, or get a meal in a foreign land. That’s why they are a part of many of our degree programs.

In the Communications department at UNM Los Alamos, we offer courses in reading and writing, as well as Literature, Interpersonal Communications, Public Speaking, Technical Writing and Foreign Languages.

Foreign Languages

Learning a foreign language can be useful for work, for travel or just for fun. UNM Los Alamos offers many foreign language classes not available at other area schools. Our language courses often include Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Latin and Ancient Greek.
