College Council Meeting Minutes - April 13, 2026

There was acknowledgement of a quorum and the approval of Meeting Minutes from the March 9, 2026, College Council meeting.
Announcements
- New website will launch April 29
- Front entrance ribbon cutting ceremony - Wednesday April 29 noon to 1 p.m
- Complete College America - CCA
- Institutional Data Collection and Analysis
- LANL Data Sprint Deep Dive Data Analysis – UNM-LA has been chosen for analysis in
July to analyze why our home campus enrollment is dropping even though our overall
enrollment continues to increase
- CCA’s contract for Power BI expired and they are negotiating with new vendor so training
in Power BI is delayed. Danielle Gonzales will give an update when the new contract
for Power BI is in place.
- CCSSE Spring Student Survey will be incorporated into CCA data gathering and analysis
component
- Career Path Component – Brittany Carpenter informed CC that there have been several
meetings about the career path component and there will be future meetings and additional
work on this component.

MEETING AGENDA ITEMS
Strategic Plan, Mission & Vision Statements (sent as separate documents prior to the April CC meeting)
Several volunteers worked in 3 separate groups to update the strategic plan themes and activities. Although these charts are still a work in progress, the drafts to date were shared during the meeting. Ongoing updates and finalization of the working groups charts will take place prior to the May CC meeting and will be distributed to everyone to review. This item will be part of the May CC meeting.
Communications Options
Debray Bailey and Neil Stoddard discussed the options available to us for creating a communications hub. DeBray emphasized that it is important to use the tools that are licensed to us. The plan is to develop a place where information can be shared and a way for a calendar of upcoming events to be included. Updates about plans for this project will be presented at the May CC meeting.
Feedback Items
Library hours were discussed while there is sporadic coverage available. It was determined that a notice indicating the library would be closed until further notice would be communicated and any schedule updates would be sent out via email.
Meeting reminder: The next College Council meeting will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. in Room 230 if it is available.
