Certificate in Nuclear Enterprise Science & Technology (LANL Only)
The UNM-LA Nuclear Enterprise Science and Technology (NEST) program is an intensive 32-week certificate program training technicians and technologists in fissionable material handling and glovebox operation. As designed, this is a 30-credit hour program that allows students to obtain an academic credential to enter the workforce after one year of coursework and on-the-job training (OJT). The program was designed in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory. Program curriculum is based upon various Department of Energy (DOE) documents that address glovebox use and the handling of fissionable materials.
This program is for LANL employees only.
