Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts

The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts is a degree program for students who desire a broad background and comprehensive grounding in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. As a terminal degree, the A.A. in Liberal Arts provides students with a basic educational framework of value in a variety of fields including the arts, education, research, and business. As a transfer degree, its earned credits are the equivalent of the first two years of course work, preparing students to choose a major field in the College of Arts and Sciences, and can be tailored to lead to a number of different majors at a four-year institution.

Skills developed in Liberal Arts impact your entire professional career, long after your classes are finished. Developing skills in critical thinking, reading, and writing, and communication is integral for all students, no matter their career paths or professional goals.
