UNM-LA is proud to be recognized among the top 20% of 2-year public institutions nationwide in EdSights' Student Voice Score (SVS®), a benchmark that measures student satisfaction through direct student feedback. Based on responses from more than 125,000 students across 257 institutions in spring 2026, the recognition reflects how likely students are to recommend their institution to a friend.

This recognition reflects the positive experiences students are having at UNM-LA and the strong sense of connection they feel to the campus community. Student feedback helps guide ongoing efforts to enhance programs, services and support systems that contribute to student success.

As Director of Student Affairs Danielle Gonzales shared, “This honor belongs to our students, whose voices help shape our school community. We are proud of the faculty and staff who foster meaningful connections and create an environment where students feel comfortable speaking up. Together, we will continue to listen, learn and grow.”
