UNM-LA students are encouraged to sign up for free computer classes designed to help them manage some of the finer points of popular applications such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. These classes will also cover an introduction to online learning and navigating the UNM-LA domain computers.

Available Classes:

Intro to Word (covers: spell check, centering, bold, italics, foot notes, MLA style, adding pictures/clip-art).

Intro to PowerPoint (covers: how to add slides, add clip-art, basic presentation styles, avoiding common mistakes during oral presentations, etc.).

Intro to Online Learning (covers: how to remove a virus using free tools on the internet, how to install common browser plug-ins used by many online or hybrid classes, how to log into Learn, the basics of using Learn).

Intro to Computer Use at UNM-LA (covers: how to login to domain computers, how to use Lobomail, what on-campus computers can students use, summer location of tutor center, etc.).
