About the Program

The Certificate in Accounting is designed to prepare you for entry into the field of accounting. It may be used as a terminal certificate with subsequent entrance into the work force, or it may form the basis for additional course work leading to an associate’s degree in other fields.

You will become proficient in basic accounting principles: manual and computerized journals; posting; adjustments; monthly statements; payroll; bank reconciliations; cash flow reports; invoices; and the basics of taxes.
