Academic Search Complete - Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the one of world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Points of View Reference Center - A full text database designed to provide students and schools with a series of controversial essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. Essays provide questions and materials for further thought and study and are accompanied by thousands of supporting articles from the world's top political and societal publications. Offered through EBSCOhost.

ProQuest - general index to articles across all academic disciplines. Searches may be done across the entire database or within specific disciplines. Many articles are full-text.

Science Direct - Elsevier's journal portal provides full-text access to select (only titles with "Full-text available" icon are subscribed to) scientific, technical, and medical journals. Provides access to over 3,800 periodical titles and over 37,000 books. Some articles may be downloaded free of charge; others must be purchased.

Academic OneFile - Full name: Gale Academic OneFile. Multidisciplinary resource contains access to scholarly journal articles, magazine articles, news, reference sources, and multimedia for many subjects. Coverage: 1990s-present.

Academic OneFile Select - Formerly: Expanded Academic ASAP. Full name: Gale Academic OneFile Select. general index to articles across many disciplines from arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology, this database meets research needs across all academic disciplines. Access scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers - many with full text and images.

American Periodicals - Digitized images of articles, advertisements, illustrations, editorial cartoons, obituaries, letters to the editor, and more from American magazines and journals. Includes popular, special interest and general magazines, literary and professional journals, children's and women's magazines, and other historically significant periodicals. Coverage: 1740-1940.

ArticleFirst - index of articles from the contents pages of journals (some full text). Click on "List All Databases," then select from the resulting list. Offered through OCLC FirstSearch.

British Periodicals - British Periodicals Collection I consists of more than 160 journals published from the 17th century to the early 20th century.

Directory of Open Access Journals - Contains open access, scholarly journals in a wide variety of fields including science, technology, medicine, social science, and humanities in several languages.

EBSCOhost (Click on EbscoHost Web) - Menu of separate databases across many disciplines (abstracts and full-text).

ECO - a collection of scholarly journals (some full text). Click on "List All Databases," then select from the resulting list. Offered through OCLC FirstSearch.

First Search - menu of 12 separate databases indexing articles across many disciplines (mostly abstracts). Offered through OCLC.

Fuente Academica - Fuente Academica is a unique collection of scholarly journals from renowned Latin American and Spanish publishers. This multi-disciplinary database offers full text content to many academic areas including business & economics, medical sciences, political science, law, computer science, library & information sciences, literature, linguistics, history, philosophy and theology. This database provides full text (including PDF) for 260 scholarly Spanish language journals. Offered by Ebscohost.

General OneFile - Full name: Gale General OneFile. Multidisciplinary collection. Includes citations and extensive full text content for academic journal articles, magazine articles, books, and multimedia, includes full collection of National Public Radio programs from 1990 to the present with searchable transcripts.

Google Scholar - Although Google Scholar is a free search engine, this link connects you through our proxy server (requests your UNM NetID/password) to take advantage of the linking features. GoogleScholar will link to some - not all - of the online journals to which the University Libraries subscribes as well as many other resources. Use the "Check for UNM Full Text" link to see if the article is available through a UNM subscription. Before doing a search, click on "Scholar Preferences." Under "Library Links", put "University of New Mexico" in the "Find Library" box. We also suggest that you check the box for "Open WorldCat." This will better ensure that you get access to those materials to which the University Libraries subscribes.

MAS Ultra - School Edition - Provides full text for 460 general interest and current events magazines. Offered through EBSCOhost.

MIT Press Journals - More than thirty titles in many subject areas, including the arts and humanities, social sciences, and certain areas of science and technology.

Oxford University Press Journals - 196 titles in life Sciences, Mathematics & Physical Sciences, Medicine, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law, and including some of the most authoritative journals in their fields. 1996-present (unless the title started later.)

Periodicals Archive Online: Collections: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII - More than 500 journals covering international, scholarly literature in the humanities and social sciences in 37 key subject areas. Offered through Proquest/Chadwyck-Healey.

Popular Magazines - Full name: Gale OneFile Popular Magazines. Includes the most searched magazines focusing on current events, sports, science and health issues.

Project Muse - Project MUSE originally offered online access to 46 Johns Hopkins University Press titles in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics. Muse has been expanded to include full-text online access to titles from other university presses. To date, nine other presses have committed more than 60 titles to joining Muse, bringing the total to over 200 titles. The publishers involved are Carnegie Mellon University Press, Duke University Press, Indiana University Press, MIT Press, Oxford University Press, Pennsylvania State University Press, University of Hawaii Press, University of Texas Press, and the University of Wisconsin Press. Offered through the Johns Hopkins University Press. Full-text articles are available.
