Classical Music Library - Classical Music Library includes recordings of music written from the earliest times (eg Gregorian Chant) to the present, including many contemporary composers. Repertoire ranges from vocal and choral music, to chamber, orchestral, solo instrumental, and opera. We add repertoire according the MLA publication ‘A Basic Music Library’ to ensure Classical Music Library includes at least one recording of each work listed. We provide multiple recordings of most major works, to enable comparative listening. Classical Music Library also includes many works not in the MLA list, and is increasingly adding recordings by great performers and composers.

Contemporary World Music - Contemporary World Music will contain 50,000 tracks that delivers the sounds of all regions from every continent. The database will contain important genres such as reggae, worldbeat, neo-traditional, world fusion, Balkanic jazz, African film, Bollywood, Arab swing and jazz, and other genres such as traditional music - Indian classical, fado, flamenco, klezmer, zydeco, gospel, gagaku, and more. This database is a complementary database to Smithsonian Global Sound for Libraries - it includes a blend of contemporary and traditional world music recordings from many labels throughout the world. The focus is concentrated on contemporary genres, such as fusion and world beat. Content is added on a regular basis. Offered through Alexander Street Press.

Fine Arts and Music Collection - this collection provides full-text resources in the areas of drama, music, art history, and filmmaking. Offered through Gale.

Music Online: American Music - American Song is a history database that will contain 50,000 tracks that allows people to hear and feel the music from America's past. The database will include songs by and about American Indians, miners, immigrants, slaves, children, pioneers, and cowboys. Included in the database are the songs of Civil Rights, political campaigns, Prohibition, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, anti-war protests, and more. Offered through Alexander Street Press.

Music Online: Opera in Video - Contains over five hundred hours of opera performances, captured on video through staged productions, interviews, and documentaries. Provided by Alexander Street Press.

Music Online: Smithsonian Global Sound - Smithsonian Global Sound, produced in partnership with Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, is a virtual encyclopedia of the world's musical and aural traditions. The collection provides educators, students, and interested listeners with an unprecedented variety of online resources that support the creation, continuity, and preservation of diverse musical forms. Offered through Alexander Street Press.

Music Periodicals Database - covers nearly all aspects of the world of music, from the most scholarly studies to the latest crazes. It draws its current content from more than 370 international music periodicals from over 20 countries, and also indexes feature music articles and obituaries appearing in The New York Times and The Washington Post. Offered through Proquest/Chadwyck-Healey.

RILM Abstracts of Music literature - RILM, a comprehensive, ongoing guide to publications on music from all over the world. RILM is now approaching 500,000 records; over 30,000 new records are added every year, covering all document types: articles, books, bibliographies, catalogues, dissertations, Festschriften, iconographies, critical commentaries to complete works, ethnographic recordings, conference proceedings, electronic resources, reviews, and more. Classical Scores Library - contains nearly 25,000 music scores for study and analysis. Offered by Alexander Street Press.

The Metropolitan Opera

Music Education Online - provides a web portal that assembles in one place many tools that a music teacher can use to build or augment a child-centered music program. Presented by Children's Music Workshop.

OperaGlass - a staple online resource for opera students and enthusiasts.  Includes links to opera librettos, photographs, performance history, synopses, etc.
