Lecturer II Business

UNM Los Alamos Campus anticipates hiring a 0.5 FTE Lecturer II or III of Business.  Appointment begins January 16, 2018All Lecturer appointments at UNM provide for promotional and multi-year contract opportunities. Additionally, after six years of service with satisfactory performance reviews, this lecturer appointment includes a one-time election to convert to a probationary, tenure-track appointment subject to the approval of the Chair, Dean, and Provost.  If this one-time option is not exercised, the lecturer appointment remains in place and retains eligibility to pursue regular lecturer promotion and multi-year contract opportunities.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide 15 credit hours of classroom instruction per academic year in the area of Business. Inform students concerning course requirements and evaluation process and attendance requirements. Maintain attendance, assessment, student records and deadlines.  Prepare and grade class assignments and exams. Advise students on their academic progress. Post and maintain office hours. Participate in faculty and college committees/discussion and task forces to include curriculum development, teaching and learning techniques, outcomes assessment, and administrative assignments.
