Pre-Professional Health Sciences

About the Program

This is a transfer degree program designed for students pursuing a career in the health sciences. This degree fulfills the specialized pre-admission requirements for most degree programs in nursing, emergency medical services, dental hygiene, radiology, pharmacy, physician’s assistant, occupational therapy and physical therapy.

Whether you are just getting started on your career path or changing careers, this program is your starting point. You will build a strong foundation for future success in our small classes with personalized attention. Students interested in pursuing certain higher degrees, such as a BS in nursing, radiology or dental hygiene can take their non-clinical course work online in our Bachelor and Graduate Program through Extended University. Those interested in a BS in EMS can also take much of that program on our campus. Contact: Extended University at http://eu.unm.edu
