An extraordinary opportunity to explore career options for the 21st century.
What kind of science makes space exploration possible? What skills are needed to survive alone on a distant planet? What effect does zero-gravity have on the human body? Come discover what mysteries space holds and the professions that make exploration possible.
UNM-Los Alamos and the Los Alamos Public Schools are collaborating to a one-week Career Exploration Program that will explore a variety of STEM career options for students in the Los Alamos Public Schools.
This program will offer engaging, activity-based learning topics such as:
- Astronomy
- Biofuels
- Computer Programming
- Digital Art
- Engineering
- Environmental Technology
- Emergency Medicine & Survival Skills
- Forensic Science
- Health Science
- Physics
- Robotics
- Welding

June 6-10, Monday–Friday
9:00 am–12:00 pm & 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
Free to Los Alamos Public school students entering grades 8–10.
The program is full! We wish we could take everyone!
Anyone who registers now will be placed on a wait list.
This grant-funded program is provided at no cost to Los Alamos Public School students entering grades 8-10. Space is limited to 25 students per class, please register early. Students not enrolled in Los Alamos Public Schools may participate if space remains. Please call or email to be added to our waitlist.
